Who We Are

Our website address is https://africanvoices.com. We are an arts and literary organization highlighting African diasporic voices through our print magazine, events, and online content.

Comments

When visitors leave comments on the site, we collect the data shown in the comments form, along with the visitor’s IP address and browser user agent to help with spam detection.

An anonymized string (hash) from your email address may be provided to the Gravatar service to check if you are using it. See Gravatar’s privacy policy for details. After your comment is approved, your profile image is visible to the public next to your comment.

Media

If you upload images to the website, avoid including location data (EXIF GPS). Visitors may be able to download and extract this data.

Cookies

  • If you leave a comment, you may opt to save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience. These last for one year.
  • If you visit our login page, a temporary cookie is set to check if your browser accepts cookies. It contains no personal data and is deleted when you close your browser.
